Daya Materials Berhad, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in the trading and distribution of specialty chemicals and catalysts, and the provision of related services to the oil and gas sector in Malaysia and internationally. It offers bulk chemicals, such as dimethyl disulfide, perchloroethylene, ethyl mecaptan, spotleak, and water purification resins; catalysts, including reforming, syngas, desulphurization, chloride treatment, gas purification, etherification, hydrogenation, and estherification; additives consisting of pour-point depressants, slip agents, and polymerization initiators; inert support materials, including ceramic balls, alumina, and packing materials; and services, such as engineering, filling/refilling, tank cleaning, and manpower services. The company also manufactures various polymer compounds comprising semicon conductor and bonded insulation shield for medium voltage power cables; strippable semicon insulation shield for medium voltage power cables; and semicon start-up compound for extruders. Its polymer products also include LV-XLPE compounds consisting of siloxane silane and sioplas silane cross-linkable insulation compounds for low voltage power cables; MV-XLPE compound, a low-density cross-linkable PE compound suitable for insulation of medium voltage power cables; jacketing compounds, which are polyethylene compounds suitable for jacketing of power and communication cables; and other polymer compounds and specialty chemicals, such as HDPE, MDPE, LDPE, resins, catalysts, pigments, preservatives, and other polymers. In addition, the company provides design, engineering, and industrial construction services; tank cleaning, repair, and waste oil/solvent recycling services; and material handling and manpower services. Daya Materials Berhad was founded in 1994 and is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
