BTM Resources Berhad, incorporated in 1994 and headquartered in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, specializes in timber processing and is actively diversifying into renewable energy to support sustainable growth. The Group’s core business activities include trading of sawn timber, logs, and plywood, alongside kiln-drying, timber moulding, and manufacturing of finger-jointed timber and laminated boards at its Terengganu facility. Since 2017, it has also been producing and exporting biomass wood pellets to markets such as South Korea, with expansion plans into China, Japan, and Europe. In a strategic shift, BTM Resources is developing two biomass power plants with a combined net export capacity of 17 MW to supply electricity under Malaysia’s Feed-in Tariff programme. This transition is supported by long-term sublease agreements for timber plantations and strategic feedstock supply arrangements, positioning the Group for long-term value creation in both the timber and clean energy sectors.
